Small knitting retreats for women who need a break, rather than another itinerary to work through.
Knitting was meant to be the thing you did to switch off, and somewhere along the way it became one more thing to find time for. MARL gives it a few days of its own, in a beautiful house with a handful of women who love it as much as you do, and nothing in particular that needs doing.
The house has been chosen, the menus planned and the walk mapped out, so the only real decision left is which projects to pack. A private chef looks after the cooking, the days are mostly unscheduled, and anything on offer, from a morning walk to a yoga class, is there if you want it and easily skipped if you don't.
Who it's for
MARL is for women who have built full, busy lives and would quite like a little more room in them. Each retreat is kept to twelve guests at most, which is small enough that by the second evening the table feels less like a group of strangers and more like a group of friends. Knitters and crocheters of every level are welcome, and beginners are well looked after.
